More Christmas Bunting!

Its been a busy few weeks at Free Spirit Designs HQ with lots of custom orders to complete - i do love feeling like one of santa's elves though, it definitely helps to get me into the Christmas spirit!

In my last post i mentioned that i had a couple more new styles of festive bunting to share with you so here they are...

Christmas Snowflake Bunting

I have done two simple snowflake designs, one Christmas red and white and the other ice blue and white.

I think sometimes its nice to have something simple that nods to Christmas without screaming it... hopefully these will have that effect!

They are available as a string of six flags for £9 from my Etsy shop and i'm also happy to make longer lengths as a custom order.

Winter Animals Christmas Bunting

In my last post i showed you this pic as a little teaser of some of the new range of festive bunting i've been working on, i hope you enjoy it in its full glory! :)

Winter Robins Bunting

My winter wonderland collection started a couple of years ago with a range of hand painted baubles.

Last year i adapted the range into six designs which i used on fabric,

Christmas cards,

and printable craft paper.

This year i thought i'd add some festive bunting so i played around with the design print size a bit to create a string of winter robins bunting,

and one featuring all three Winter Wonderland animal designs.

They are available as a six flag string for £9 from my Etsy shop (i'm also happy to take custom requests for different lengths).

Watch this space next year for some more additions to the range! (There's also a couple more bits to show you next week :))

Merry Christmas Gift Tags

Hi all, it seems ages since i've written a post but i didn't want to start inundating you with Christmassy things too early... (and seeing as that's all i've been making recently i had nothing else to show you!)

However, with November gathering momentum it feels like the right time to start thinking about the festivities ahead next month so here's a peak at what's new in my Etsy shops.

Merry Christmas Gift Tags

I thought it would be fun to make a few simple gift tags this year - my personalised tags are always popular but sometimes you want something inexpensive that you can just pop on any gift to make it a bit Christmassy don't you? I do anyway!

I used Spoonflower to print the fabric, then stitched each 'Merry Christmas' to a hessian backing and attached twine hanging loops.

They come as a set of five in a choice of red on white or white on red,

and are available now from my Etsy shop priced £3.99.

Also in the works is a new range of Christmassy bunting  - more on that soon but for now, here's a peek!

Scented Rustic Christmas Tree Decorations

Christmas orders are trickling in now so i thought i'd share some more of the new festive delights in my shop... this week, rustic tree decorations!

Rustic Scented Tree Decorations

I have made similar trees in previous years this time i've given them a revamp - they are now smaller (and therefore cheaper!)

with a wider range of fabrics to choose from (12 in total).

They are still made from all natural materials - linen and cotton fabrics, pure wool stuffing and wooden trunks.

They also still come with a choice of natural scents (Christmas orange, pine needle or lavender) created by adding a few drops of essential oil to the trunks which evaporates over time, filling a room with the delicious aroma.

They are available in two separate listings in my Etsy shop - £15 for 5, or £10 for 3.

Christmas Gift Wallets

Well i've started getting a few festive orders from some Christmas shopping early birds so it seems reasonable to start sharing a few Christmassy bits with you... (my apologies if even mentioning Christmas in September is entirely unreasonable in your view, i quite understand, its a funny old world we live in! :))

Personalised Christmas Gift Wallets

Do you remember the seed packet gift wallets i shared with you a few weeks ago? Well i've come up with a Christmassy version with gifts of money/tickets/vouchers in mind (or any small gift you'd like to make a bit more special - including seed packets of course!)

There are three designs to choose from, each decorated with a different applique design including a cotton panel personalised with the recipient's name.

Inside each wallet is a colourful fabric pouch for your gift as well as a brown paper panel for you to write a special message to the recipient.

They are priced £5.99 and are available to buy now from my Etsy shop. As always i look forward to hearing what you think of them!

Sailing Boat Bunting

Hi all, i hope you've been enjoying some Autumnal sunshine this week?! We've had some lovely days here which has meant some precious opportunities to get some product photography done, as well as some beautiful country walks and blackberry picking, yum! :)

New in my shop this week is this sailing boat bunting, perfect for a coastal themed decor scheme or little boy's bedroom and available now from my Etsy shop, priced £9.00 for a six flag length.

The design features fabrics from my On The Open Ocean collection,

and matches with the sailing boat doorstop also available from my Etsy shop.

A slightly unseasonal offering this week but hopefully one my fellow seaside fans will enjoy :) I'm trying to hold off from showering you with festive delights too early... but that time is fast approaching!

Black Cats For Halloween And Beyond!

I love black cats and i've discovered over a few years of creating designs featuring them that i'm not alone, in fact they seem to have a bit of a cult following! So this week i've added a few new items to my shop for my fellow black cat lovers :)

Black Cat Halloween Bunting

I chose Autumnal colours for this bunting with Halloween in mind but i think it would look super cute in the home of a cat lover at any time. Perhaps i will design a Spring/Summer version next year!

It features six flags on a string of rustic twine, each with a mischievous kitty cat.

Its priced £9 and available now from my Etsy shop.

Black Cat Doorstop And Notebook Cover

The other two black cat items to appear in my shop this week are a 'self-fill' door stop which has been out of stock for a while,

and personalised notebook cover (yes its the same one i showed you other week as part of a group but now it has its very own listing and new photos!)

Both the doorstop (£12) and notebook cover (8.99) are available now from my Etsy shop.

Running Whippet Cushions

Still working on building up stock for the busy season ahead... this week, whippet cushions!

Running Whippet Greyhound Cushion Covers

My Running Whippets Fabric is one of my most popular designs so i thought it was about time i made some cushion covers with it for all the whippet lovers out there to enjoy :) (although anyone who shares their life with a whippet will know they are complete sofa hoggers and likely to claim any cushion as their own!)

The design works equally well for greyhound fans i think, and of course dog lovers in general.

The covers are made to fit 30 x 50 cms cushions and come in two colour options, blue or pink.

They have an envelope closure at the back for easy removal of the cushion pad,

and the fabric is a linen/cotton blend with a lovely texture.

(Its available to buy for your own makes from my Spoonflower shop, where the design can also be purchase printed onto a whole range of fabrics, and even gift wrap and wall paper!)

The cushion covers are available now from my Etsy shop priced £25.50.

Fabric Notebook Covers

With thoughts of my busiest months being just around the corner i've begun trying to stock up my shop and this week i've been working on notebook covers...

Fabric Notebook Covers

All of my covers feature original Free Spirit Designs fabrics. Pets are always a popular choice so i've included two cat designs and some pink flying pugs (you don't see them everyday! :))

Also new is a cover featuring my Garden Peas design - perfect for a garden journal.

As you can see i offer the option to have your cover personalised.

They also come complete with a recycled paper notebook,

which of course can easily be replaced once it runs out.

The other designs currently available are 'Island Escape' and Butterfly Meadow'

and i'd be happy to make up a cover featuring any of my other designs as long as i have the fabric in stock. I'm also very happy to make them in sizes other than A5, just get in touch and let me know what you're after.

The price for a cover, including notebook is £8.99, or £11.99 if you would like it personalised - they are available now from my Etsy shop.

Babies!

Hello! Its been a while since my last post so its great to be back chatting to you again :) I've got lots to share too - as always i look forward to hearing your thoughts...!

Baby Bibs And Burp Cloths

Its been a busy few weeks for me on the home front but in the quiet times i've been working on stocking up a new section in my Etsy shop especially dedicated to babies.

Its been sooooo much fun picking fabrics from my collections to suit little people :) I've paired them with super soft and absorbent organic bamboo fleece (that regular readers will know i'm a huge fan of) to make a range of pretty yet practical dribble bibs and burp cloths.

Baby Dribble Bibs

I love the look of bandanna style bibs and they're perfect for keeping dribbling babies clean and dry (i may add to the range in the future with some larger scoop style bibs more suited to catching food spills) - let me know if this is something you'd like to see!

The bibs all have easy to use velcro closures with an adjustable neck size to take baby through its first year (and possible beyond, depending on size!)

There are currently six designs to choose from - priced £5.75 each.

There is also a set of three, priced £15.50.

Both can now be found in the new Babies section of my Etsy shop.

Baby Burp Cloths

I've also designed some burp cloths to match the bibs - the bamboo fleece is super absorbent, perfect for catching any manner of dribbles and spills with the pretty fabric decoration you can stay looking stylish and lovely all the while :)

They're available to buy as matching bib and burp cloth sets at the moment (priced £12), although i intend to list them to buy on their own too soon.

The designs available so far are Spring flowers in sunshine yellow,

Spring Flowers in fresh green,

and Butterfly Meadow.
