Pink Flower Napkin Rings
I'm glad i made my summery napkin rings after all now... i was wondering if the sunshine was ever going to show up this year and create a demand for such things...!
I really enjoy making things for the dinner table. There is something so special about the simple act of sitting down to a lovely meal with friends or family and i think that a bit of time spent decorating with things like flowers, candles and pretty tableware adds so much to the atmosphere of these occasions. These napkin rings will join the coasters and place mats i've already made and i expect i will be adding to this collection again soon!
Update On Cushion Pads
I received some very thoughtful comments on my last Handmade Monday post regarding the issue of cushion pads - thank you so so much if you took the time to share your ideas, they were hugely helpful to me x
I decided in the end to list my cushion covers alone, with an option to purchase a wool filled cushion pad if desired. I will probably also add the option of adding a cheaper pad when i have sourced and bought some!
Blink Collective
I came across an interesting new enterprise this week called Blink Collective - it is an online market place like Etsy, but rather than listing items, sellers offer 'experiences' (such as workshops) which buyers can book a place to attend. It seem like a really interesting way for crafters to potentially earn an extra income from sharing their passion and skills and i know that quite a few have started to create listings on there - i've blogged about Blink Collective this week if anyone is interested in knowing more.
Hot Air Balloon Mug
I love hot air balloons and i had the idea this week to create a nice colourful mug with this theme. Its not finished yet, but here's a little glimpse of where i'm up to so far...
