Hi all, its been looking pretty Christmassy on the crafting front for me this week, i've been working on some handmade Christmas pressies for friends and family (no peeks of them yet i'm afraid, although i'll take some pics to show you in the new year :)). I've also been painting a new collection of festive ceramic baubles and i can show you them, in fact they're coming right up!
Hand Painted Ceramic Baubles
There are six of these in total, three with a 'lifestyle' theme and three with a nature theme. They all follow the same basic design of falling snow against a blue sky on the top and a large blue snowflake on the bottom so they would work well alongside each other in a festive display.
With the snowman one that i'm going to show you first i've added some words 'let it snow, let it snow, let it snow' - the others have room for personalisation of the customers choice or can be left blank.
Here are the piccies...
Christmas 'Lifestyle' Baubles
Snowman Bauble
Christmas Houses Bauble
Christmas Post Bauble
Christmas Nature Baubles
Winter Foxes Bauble
Winter Deer Bauble
Winter Robins Bauble
They will be listed on my website, Etsy shop and other outlets soon priced £15.00 (including personalisation).
As with all my ceramic items they have been hand painted with porcelain enamel paint, each is unique with its own quirks and style. Although i'm happy to recreate these and other designs no two will ever be the same! If there is one here that you know you would like, drop me a line and i'll make sure that its you that gets to take it home :)
As always, i look forward to hearing your thoughts on these!
I'll be popping over to Handmade Harbour later to find out what my fellow crafters have been up to this week (after i've battened down the hatches that is... apparently we have gale force winds on the way to rival the 1987 hurricane!!! :/)
Happy crafting! x
Really lovely for a handmade theme this Christmas. I like the winter deer best!
ReplyDeletethank you very much! x
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I came across a box of ceramic baubles I bought last year with the intention to decorate them, which I didn't. Yours look so lovely, don't think I will do mine as nicely. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeletegreat minds think alike! aww your will be gorgeous i know it x
Deletelovely baubles!
ReplyDeleteThey look bright and fresh, and crisp and even ;-)
By the way how do you get the backgrounds of your pictures so white and clear?? x
thank you very much!
Deletei use a photo editor called pixelmator to clean up the backgrounds, i'm sure there are lots of other similar programmes that would do the same job though x
Wow - they are all gorgeous (and in my favourite colour mix - blue and white with some red thrown in!!). I love them all but I think I love the post boxes the best! x
ReplyDeletethanks Wendy! I really love those colours too, as you might have guessed! :)
DeleteThese are lovely. The designs are so sweet and whimsical. Well done!
ReplyDeletethank you very much! x
DeleteI was going to say that I love the colours of the first baubles - the blue, white and red look great....and then I saw your wildlife ones. A completely different feel but stunning.
ReplyDeletethank you very much, i'm really glad you like them both! x
DeleteThey are very cheery and I like them all, but then I saw the black version and that it really striking! I bet then take for ages to paint especially as you can't really put them down properly. But they are really sweet, so I'm sure they will fly off the shelves.
ReplyDeletethank you!
Deleteyes they do take a while, they're quite fiddly! :)
The baubles look so lovely, and you have photographed them so well. They must take you ages to paint, and I can't imagine how you manage not to snudge them. I think my favs are the animal ones, although the little houses are cute too.
ReplyDeletethank you!
Deleteyes they are a bit tricky to handle... i'm getting better at it though! :)
I like the post box best, but they are all lovely.
ReplyDeletethank you very much! x
DeleteThey are gorgeous:) and thanks for the tips re photo software - will be off to explore!

They are stunning, you are so clever and creative. I think the snowman is my favourite one.
ReplyDeletethank you! i'm glad you like them! x
DeleteWow!!! They are stunning. You must have a rock steady hand to paint them xx
ReplyDeletethank you! people often say that so i guess maybe i do have a steady hand... i'm not sure really! :)
DeleteThese looks wonderful. They look like the Christmas we all would like - lots of snow but without any of the cold and damp :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the one with the deer. They look so cute.

DeleteWow, these are fab, love them all, especially the houses and the postbox. Thanks so much for coming to visit me. Xx
