Mini Stocking Decorations And Nature Finds Christmas Cards For Handmade Monday

Another week has flown by with more Christmassy makes on the agenda. I've also had half a mind on LAC - life after Christmas... there's a teaser at the end of this post but for now, let the jingle bells ring, only 5 weeks 'till the big day!!!

Mini Christmas Stocking Decorations

There is something about making things mini that instantly makes them super cute isn't there. These little Christmas stocking decorations are 11.5cms tall and fit nicely in the palm of my hand... what do you think, do they have the awww factor?! :)

The cuffs are soft and sustainable bamboo fleece and the hanging loops pure natural white wool.

This set of five mini stockings is available now from my Etsy shop for £10.95. They are very light weight so perfect for even the littlest of trees!

Nature Finds Christmas Tree Cards

A couple of week's ago i mentioned that i was thinking of getting some of my 'nature finds' tree images printed up as Christmas cards. As always i got loads of helpful and encouraging comments (thank you!) so i went ahead and placed the order and here they are, i look forward to hearing what you think...

I'm really pleased with how they've turned out, the card has a lovely satin finish and the feel very fresh. I like the natural look of the brown paper envelopes too although i'll be offering the option of white or brown once they're for sale as i think both work well.

The next question is (and i'd really appreciate your input!) should i get some printed with a message inside? I did try out having a message on the front but however subtle i made it it still seemed to jar with the image but i do think it would be nice to put something in the card. Here are the options i've thought of:

Peace

Peace On Earth

Peaceful Christmas

Wishing You A Peaceful Christmas

Which do you like best? Do you think something else would work better - good old 'Merry Christmas' perhaps? All input appreciated :)

Beyond Christmas... Nature Finds Notecards

I did say at the top of this post that i've been thinking beyond Christmas... here's a glimpse at a couple more 'nature finds' cards destined for my shop when i'm a little less caught up with the festive whirlwind! Do contact me if you would like to buy one before then though and i'll make arrangements - as with all my cards they are £1.99 for an individual card or £3.50 for a set of two.

Black And White Feather Card

Poppy Seed Head Card

And now its time to link up with the talented crafty folk over at Handmade Monday. Thank you very much to those who left lovely comments about my patchwork decorations last week, i look forward to hearing your thoughts on this week's offerings!

Have a wonderful week! x

  1. I really like all your cards but the Christmas ones are really stunning. I am not sure about the message - probably the last of the options but it is a very hard call.

  3. such cute little stockings! Yes mini definitely does have the aaah factor, im loving making mini ones!
I still love your natural christmas cards, simple and effective. Yes some wording inside would be an added touch! Peace on earth is quite nice or maybe 'Seasons Greetings' as you are using natural items from the winter/autumn seasons xx

  4. The little stockings are gorgeous. I think for your cards I would have the message inside, and probably Peace on Earth, as I think your cards will appeal to anyone who is a bit green or eco, so this message seems most appropriate. Really like the poppy seed heads too. Is it a painting? It is hard to tell, but I love it anyway.

  5. I love the new tree cards - and I agree that a greeting such as peace on earth or season's greetings instead of 'Christmas' will appeal to more types of people including those celebrating Yule.

  7. I like Yuletide Greetings or Seasons Greetings best, they are lovely cards btw.
I adore your stockings as well, I've just painted a little stocking on a decoration as it's such a cute image. I like them all hanging in a row. :)

  10. I just love the little stockings - they're so cute !!!!

Your Christmas cards are beautiful, so fresh and modern.

Personally I prefer simple verses like 'Merry Christmas/ Happy Christmas'. However more and more cards these days have to be PC so 'seasons greetings' might be appropriate.

    Hope this helps xx

  12. The stockings are incredibly cute but the Christmas cards are just *stunning*! I would buy them with or without a greeting inside - but if I had to choose, it would be something very simple like Merry Christmas. I think Happy Christmas might work better, though, with the image.

  13. Oh Natalie I am so loving your cards. They look beautiful. Like Wendy has said I think a really simple message would be best. I think the stockings would look lovely hanging up as bunting.
