Hand Painted Christmas Baubles For Handmade Monday

Hi all, its been looking pretty Christmassy on the crafting front for me this week, i've been working on some handmade Christmas pressies for friends and family (no peeks of them yet i'm afraid, although i'll take some pics to show you in the new year :)). I've also been painting a new collection of festive ceramic baubles and i can show you them, in fact they're coming right up!

Hand Painted Ceramic Baubles

There are six of these in total, three with a 'lifestyle' theme and three with a nature theme. They all follow the same basic design of falling snow against a blue sky on the top and a large blue snowflake on the bottom so they would work well alongside each other in a festive display.

With the snowman one that i'm going to show you first i've added some words 'let it snow, let it snow, let it snow' - the others have room for personalisation of the customers choice or can be left blank.

Here are the piccies...

Christmas 'Lifestyle' Baubles

Snowman Bauble

Christmas Houses Bauble

Christmas Post Bauble

Christmas Nature Baubles

Winter Foxes Bauble

Winter Deer Bauble

Winter Robins Bauble

They will be listed on my website, Etsy shop and other outlets soon priced £15.00 (including personalisation).

As with all my ceramic items they have been hand painted with porcelain enamel paint, each is unique with its own quirks and style. Although i'm happy to recreate these and other designs no two will ever be the same! If there is one here that you know you would like, drop me a line and i'll make sure that its you that gets to take it home :)

As always, i look forward to hearing your thoughts on these!

I'll be popping over to Handmade Harbour later to find out what my fellow crafters have been up to this week (after i've battened down the hatches that is... apparently we have gale force winds on the way to rival the 1987 hurricane!!! :/)

Happy crafting! x

  2. Absolutely beautiful. I came across a box of ceramic baubles I bought last year with the intention to decorate them, which I didn't. Yours look so lovely, don't think I will do mine as nicely. Hope you have a good week.

i use a photo editor called pixelmator to clean up the backgrounds, i'm sure there are lots of other similar programmes that would do the same job though x

  7. They are very cheery and I like them all, but then I saw the black version and that it really striking! I bet then take for ages to paint especially as you can't really put them down properly. But they are really sweet, so I'm sure they will fly off the shelves.

  8. The baubles look so lovely, and you have photographed them so well. They must take you ages to paint, and I can't imagine how you manage not to snudge them. I think my favs are the animal ones, although the little houses are cute too.
