Hug A Pug Craft Papers And Card, Tags And Envelopes For Handmade Monday

Its been a fairly productive week! A mixed bag weather wise but i managed to get a few snaps of recent creations to show you today.

Printable Craft Papers

Since i started my second Etsy shop, FSD Print And Paper, to sell my digital printable craft papers, i've been thinking about getting some printed up - partly to help demonstrate to potential customers what they're getting and partly so i could have a go with them myself and maybe come up with some new product ranges.

I chose a few designs to get printed...

...and was so excited when they arrived in the post, i soon had paper, glue, scissors etc out on the table, and a happy smile on my face :) Its sooooo long since i've had a go at card making, i'd forgotten how fun it can be!

I made a start with some simple card/envelope/gift tag sets.

I was thinking these might also be a fun addition to my product range in the FSD Print And Paper shop... what do you think? They would be priced at around £4.50 plus postage.

Here's some pics of the other designs.

As you can see, i also had a go at making some paper roses with the rose garden paper which was fun. With the feather paper i had a go at making a gift box - you can just about see it here amongst the rest of the things i made from the Birds Of A Feather range.

I'd love to pop something like these in the shop too, i could send them flat in the post as they're pretty simple to assemble - i'll have to get a bit faster at making them first though i think... this one took me ages!! :)

Another option would be to get my designs printed straight onto envelopes, gift boxes etc... i'll have to look into this but i have a feeling that the quantities required for an order might be beyond the means of my little business at the moment... i also rather like the idea of hand making them, although that might wear off! :) What would you be more likely to buy... pre-printed stationary items such as cards, tags and gift boxes or one that have been cut and stuck together by hand? (bearing in mind that handmade is often more costly)

Another thing i've been wondering about is offering my paper for sale pre-printed. I think i'd make them A4 rather than the 12x12 inch size that they are available as in digital form, to keep the postage cost reasonable. What do you think card makers? Is there a market for this? All thoughts welcome :)

Hug A Pug Printable Craft Papers

Last but not least, here is a peak at the newest addition to my Print And Paper shop, a set of six 'Hug A Pug' printable craft papers.

I think they're pretty cute (if you like pugs and pink!) :)

Handmade Monday

Thank you in advance for your words of wisdom Handmade Mondayers! I love reading your comments and really appreciate you taking the time to leave them :) I also very much enjoy my weekly trip over to Handmade Harbour - its so much fun to follow the crafting adventures of such a varied and talented bunch!

I'll leave you with a little tale about a very lucky hedgehog i encountered this week.

Perhaps its a matter of opinion as to whether or not he was lucky as i met him stuck in a stinky drain fighting for his life :( However, by happy chance (or angelic intervention...) i opened the kitchen door and spotted him struggling away just in time and scooped him out with a handy soup ladle!

He is now quite recovered i think and i drew a quick pic of his rescue the next day (for want of a camera to catch the moment live!)

Thanks for dropping by :) Have a wonderful week! x

  2. Talented and kind hearted :). your talents are never ending. Your makes are really lovely. They look very professional. Really like your rose. My humble opinion is that there is probably a bit of a market for both - handmade and printed. Hope that you have another fab week. xx

  3. Your pre printed paper would sell I'm sure - the two cats paper and the dog ones are very marketable. £4.50 seems slightly high to me if it's only what's in the picture? - a card with the two cats on, an envelope and a gift tag, although I don't doubt they are worth it.

  4. awwwwwww I am SO HAPPY for the poor hedgehog to be saved from the drain! Bless you, you're a good lady :)

I just love your papers and stationery - I think my favourites are the cats and those tiny cute roses. I'm going to have a look at your shop. I may be buying some patterns next month. Are you gonna sell those patterns as papers too? Would love to buy a pack. My printer isnt doing very well at the moment and the colours may not be what I wish.

i'm not sure what i'm going to do yet to be honest, i need to look more into the possibilities... i could definitely arrange for a pack of papers to be printed and sent to you as a kind of commission anyway - just let me know if you want me to price this for you :) x

  5. Love the cat prints. I think people will really like the lining pattern of the envelopes. Well done for saving the hedgehog. I found a toad this week in one of the drains at the front of my house, though he looked rather happy there.

  7. As a card maker I love your printable papers (bookmarked your shop to have a good look around) I love the lining on the envelope. They'd make good notelet sets. A4 sounds a good size for both printing and selling - especially as my printer only does A4 or smaller.
