Custom Baubles And Deer Stag Cushion For Handmade Monday

This week has been busy busy! As well as keeping up with the seasonal increase in orders i've been working on some new Christmassy designs... my last for this year i think. I have so many more ideas i'd like to try out but time waits for no crafter and i need to get working on some lovelies for the new year!

So, here's a peak at what i've been up too... i hope you like!

Winter Robin Porcelain Bauble

I absolutely love robins and i couldn't let Christmas go by without one popping up in my shop!

This little cutie is hand painted on porcelain like my other baubles (although i'm now using ones with a smaller 5.5cm diameter) and has left little tracks behind in the snow...

... amongst the little spikes of grass that are poking up through the white blanket (as they did when we had that surprise snowfall a few weeks back!)

It is available in my Etsy shop now priced £12 and can be personalised with a message on the reverse.

Personalised First Noel Bauble

This design is my take on the classic 'baby's first Christmas' bauble. The whole bauble has been painted with white enamel, decorated with freehand ruby red lettering and finished off with a coordinating gingham hanging ribbon. I've kept the design simple so that it can be customised to suit any 'first Christmas', such as a new husband and wife's first married Christmas or something else more specific to the individuals involved.

A name, names, or short message can be added on the reverse and it is available now in my Etsy shop priced £12.

Custom Memorial Bauble

The idea for this bauble came to me in a quite moment of reflection on the way Christmas makes us more aware than usual of the absence of loved ones who cannot be present with us in person, either because they are far away or because they have died.

I thought that hanging a memorial to an absent loved one on the Christmas tree might be a nice way to honour the special place they still have in people's hearts and homes and make them feel a little closer to the missing person (or pet!) over the festive period.

This bauble can be completely customised to individual requirements, with a message, symbol and layout to suit personal preferences. It is available in my Etsy shop now priced £12 where you can also see more details and images.

Christmas Lavender Heart Decoration

As regular visitors to my blog will know, i'm a big fan of lavender and i just had to make a Christmassy lavender heart. Its the perfect little pressie for the lady who has everything (or who, like my Mum, always says they 'don't want anything'!)

It has a nice long hanging loop and is stuffed with a combination of Lavender and wool so as well as smelling yum is nice and squeezable too! You can find it in my Etsy shop priced £6.50.

Red Deer Stag Cushion

Whew! I told you i'd been busy! This is the last make for this week though, and then you can relax.... and perhaps i will too :)

This is actually the first of a rather long list of gifts i intend to make for my own friends and family. However, i have plenty of the materials i've used so i've listed it as a 'made to order' item over here in my Etsy shop (priced £32).

It is made from top quality red linen which i think gives it a nice Christmassy feel, although i don't think it would be out of place for the rest of the year!

As a country dweller and fan of 'cottage chic', this is right up my street... i hope you like it too :) (I also reeaaaaally hope the people i'm giving it to will like it - i'll let you know!)
