Sheep Coasters For Handmade Monday

This weekend i had a little brainwave of what to make with some rather fabulous floral fabric i picked up on a trip into Bath the other day - placemats - what fun! I've never made them before but i'd love to have some fun and funky one's for us at home and i'm thinking they'd make a nice addition to my shop too...

So... i've started experimenting. I decided to start with coasters first (less to waste if it all goes pear shaped!)

I started with this one - i like the sheep design but the boarders didn't turn out quite as i'd hoped!

So i came up with this little one which i think is pretty cute - watch this space... a whole collection may well appear in my shop soon!

I took this with a mug i'd just painted for a customer - a bit of an odd animal combination but hey ho - i like odd!

Now to the matter of the wedding pressie i made for my friend last week... remember - the cushion i showed you a couple of slithers of so as not to spoil the surprise!

Well, she's seen it now and thankfully she loved it :)  So now you can see it too!

I very much enjoyed my first Handmade Monday last week - thank you so much for the friendly welcome! :)

If you have a moment, i would love you to take a look at 'The Circle Of Love Handcrafted Giveaway' i'm planning - there is still time to get involved and it would be wonderful to have some of you lovely and talented Handmade Monday crew on board :) - it should be a fabulous way to get more readers for your blog as well as things like Twitter follows and facebook 'likes' and also some new crafting friends - its all about spreading the love!

I'm off to 1st Unique Gifts now to find out what everyone else has been up to!
